D-day Trip

At my high school I am in a program known at IT (information technology)  Three of my classes, AP world, English 2 and web design are all connected through the IT program. This year we are doing a major project about D-day in World War Two, we are mainly focusing on the Bedford Boys, We read the book and researched a bit about the Bedford Boys. Yesterday we got the privilege to take a field trip to Bedford Virgina. We toured the National D-day Memorial for an hour or so then we interviewed D-day Veterans, survivors and family members of Soldiers that were killed on D-day. We are creating a Documentary that will be published to the whole world some time this year. It is really interesting to learn history from a personal side of view where the  emotions and personal stories are told up close without being shut out in a textbook. Fact: world war two veterans or survivors die 1 per minute. It is very important to get their stories as soon as possible so that people in the Future will be able to know the whole story and from everyones point of view before it is too late.
